Retatrutide (Investigational)
Retatrutide is an investigational once-weekly peptide currently being studied for chronic weight management and metabolic health. Unlike currently available GLP-1 medications, retatrutide activates three hormone receptors—GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon—which may influence appetite, glucose regulation, and energy expenditure.
Early clinical trials have shown promising results, and additional Phase 3 studies are ongoing to further evaluate its safety and effectiveness.
Retatrutide is not currently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Any discussion of this therapy is for educational purposes only.
